I wonder if End of Times is designed to escalate the scale of WHFB in a similar fashion to Apocalypse? The one thing I like about apocalypse are the division/groups. If you take a particular set up of groups they get extra special rules. Similar to the Sigmar's Blood campaign, where certain units can fulfil side objectives in earlier battles to get bonuses or points in later battles. That sort of add on really makes things feel more dynamic.

Meanwhile my VC army is safe down in Tilea in Lambrusca... (Tilean version of Mousillon). Whilst the idea of skeleton archer bunkers covering the advance of my hordes, and units of chariots does strike me as appealing... I'd have to do some converting for them to fit the aesthetic. Bretonnian archers would be fine. Replace their heads with zombie heads. Chaos chariots could be converted maybe, or get creative with some green stuff and clippers on the TK chariots. Not sure what else TK has in terms of hammers aside of Necrosphinx and Warshinx.... Ooooh... screaming skull catapults...

Edit... no, no none of that. We're sensible VC here... well... maybe archer bunkers...

Wow. Still utterly amazed this is happening.
Although Neferata looks a bit dodgy in her hat for me.
The others all look pretty amazing to be fair.
My one sour point is that this is probably what stopped the blood of Nagash trilogy from being completed and knowing GW probably negates them entirely. :( Any word on Abhorash?

VLAD is BACK!!! Its Vlad leading the Von Cartstiens, Nagash resurrected him!! All Nine of the Lieutenants of Nagash are back bound by the one ring (along with the Ring Wraiths and Nazghul it seems)...

He admitted he wasn't strong on VC lore, but he did insist it was VLAD! Vlad is probably my favorite vampire actually, so I'd be pretty happy.

Though I still think it's Manfred on that metal framed terrorgheist-horse skull thingy.. Crazy thing.

Agreed, but then Vlad was either on Foot or Nightmare in the Stories and this way people can actually use there Vlad models while playing at the current setting... So the Nine Lords: Arkhan, Vlad, Neferata, Wor'san (Maybe?), Aborash, Usorian, Kremmlar and who were the last two?

Not if Nagash has resurrected Worsan...(Pure Guess, but if he brought back Vlanarash why not?) It seems they are called Mortarch's, with Neferata being the Mortarch of Blood and Arkhan being the Mortarch of Sacrament.

Can anyone tell me what that actually is that Mannfred is riding? Looking forward to Vlad's return :D Think i may have to attempt to power read through Nagash Trilogy then Von Carstein Trilogy.

I think my wallet just died when i saw all those pics

Mannfred is on a Nightgheist.. New monster of some kind..

Yes the Vampires fled from Nagash, but if Vlad is back, he will be wearing the one ring forged by Nagash which gives him control over the Vampires.

Well W'soran transferred his consciousness into melkhior's body in master of death and he may have done this again with zacharias. Also really didn't think Neferata would want anything to do with Nagash from how things ended in her tol novel. As for Abhorash I can actually see him siding with the humans if he plays any part at all.

From what I gather Neferata is reluctant to join him but he is rebuilding Khemri so shes up for that... Though with the W'soran thing is pure speculation at this point in time but gladly the campaign book is 300pages which should hopefully be 100+ in fluff and the other book seems to be a new Army book for the Legion of Nagash..:D

Actually if I was a vampire in warhammer I'd be pretty stupid not to listen to Nagash by now.

I mean every time they fail him he's like: LOL have a new lifechanging CURSE!

This would be the fluff reason for other armies being able to field undead... Not all the Vampires would go running back to Nagash, some no doubt would try to rebell and go it alone, or take a stand against him.

The fluff reason given on the blurb for the new lore cards is that wizards/sorcerers/mages are turning to necromancy through fear, thus it's available to everyone.

And this is where things start to get a little uncomfortable for me in all honesty... Our Lore, IoN in particular, is one of our defining characteristics, and one of the reasons why I love VC so much. Hopefully Lore of Undeath will be significantly different enough... Imagine if you were an Empire player and they announced that suddenly everyone could take Great Cannon, or a lizardmen player and they announced everyone could take Slann... you'd feel a bit peeved... Will reserve judgement until a) we see the lore and b) I get some feedback from my meta and how they thing it will impact their armies.

Cool so he's sort of blackmailed her in then. ;)
In regards to the other two lords, Krell would be one I'd imagine and ushoran would need "replacing". So he'd still need another two to complete the 9, stumped for who else he could have really.

Lord Virion the Grim is said to be one of the Dark Lords.

Mannfred is believed to be in possession of the Von Carstein Ring (since it was stolen allowing Vlad to be killed in the first place).
