My first post on this forum, ant time for some thoughts:
Miniatures in general: I´m pretty exicted about what I´ve seen so far; the Grave Guard look great, the vargulf is a cool addition to the army (although I still can´t quite get over the fact that they are called "wolfwolfs"...). Mannfred is nice detail-wise, even though he both has a pose similar to Archaon and looks a bit >too<armoured, even under the aspect of the more unified bloodlines. I can´t wait to see the new Ghouls and the other goodies!
Changing the bloodline system doesn´t bother me all too much; as long as I can still equip my beloved Necrarch true to style I´m happy. Creating more unusual combinations of powers looks interesting, although I fear that it leaves open a door for beardy combinations. Then again, you can make un-fun armies out of any given army book, so while this will surely cause some whinning as usual at first, I don´t think that it will really be a problem.
Ghouls? New miniatures sound good (although I pretty much like the current ones), but R-n-F? It´s one of those points that remind me of the first undead book, but I don´t think that it will really work in today´s game anymore. Hope they at least retain poisoned attack; but I would rather give up that and keep them skirmishers.
Wraith units? Both yay and nay. Again, a memory of past games, but does that mean that there will be no more Wraith heroes? Can banshees only be fielded as unit champions or also as in the current book? I would hate to loose the flexibility of fielding a Banshee or two, and I just have too many miniatures of them to just place them in units (which look like a real point grave at the moment - not that anything is wrong with a grave in a vampire army, but you know what I mean).
The changes in how the Necromancers are used looks like making sense ingame, although I must admit that I still mourn the passing of the liches, and now this... still, I think this should work out well for the new army.
The Black Coach has been tweaked a lot since it´s first appearance, and although I like the miniature, I´m still not (and have never been) convinved of its actual gaming value. Let´s wait and see how it handles in its newest incarnation.
Oh boy, am I looking forward to the new plague cart! I still have the old one lying around (the one with the Wraith and the undead bull), and I always loved its background. Besides, I can´t wait to see all those Zombinesse (got to love Zombies).
Whichbrings me to... Zombies! Cheaper? Good! Weaker? Ah well, nevermind! Can´t pursue? Actually not a good thing, I have hunted down a fair number of elite units of other armies with them. No Characters? Now, THAT is a problem - a unit of Zombies with a Wraith in its front rank has helped me on many occasions, guess I will have to change that then.
Overall, I´m really positive about the upcoming book, even though I´m not a fan of all changes. It is still not as drastic as splitting up Vampires and TKs all those years back, so I think I´ll get along... now, when can I preorder my book and army box?
