That's great Danceman, except that thread doesn't answer his question. He asked if anyone knew the statline for the VC counts and thralls coming up.

Also, for me, regarding the bloodknights, they are supposedly a current thrall statline, meaning T4, W2, A3(4)? Are they really selling for $75? Are they all pewter? So they are the most expensive knights in the game both points-wise and $$-wise. Nice.

Consider this in the future, when a thread is locked and directed to an existing thread you do NOT create a new thread exactly like the thread being locked but continue the discussion in the designated thread. As far as the Blood Knights, the stats are presented on GW's site. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to write them down here, but they're shown in the "Vampire Counts Preview" in the VC section.

If someone wants to bring up an issue regarding something in another post or the rumour compilation then we are more than happy to discuss it here. Thats what its for after all!

Sorry if I dabbed myself! I didn't want to play moderator, I just got sort of.. annoyed I think. Far From Grace didn't seem very eager to discuss, to me it was more like he actually didn't think we knew these things. :|

(Before he deleted some posts he had 4 posts with random info. Pity he took them away, this makes me look so stupid.)

Which might be horribly unfair to Far From Grace, so if I'm mistaken I humbly appoligise.

For everyone to know:

On GW's site, they present the stats for the Blood Knight, including special rules. Also, they have a few pages from the new book shown. If you look clearly, you can see the stats and points costs for Mannfred the Young, Konrad, Isabella and the Necromancer. Vlad has a page too, but his stats are barely visible.

And in addition, all the casting costs for the Lore of the Vampires (silly name) are presented if you look carefully.

If it's allowed and if people want me to, I can write down the stats and casting costs here. Doubt that's allowed though.

It seems the Varghulf may be the latest evolution from the Strigoi - but no-one is sure.

If it is, then I wouldn't think of it as a Strigoi. But if nobody is sure at this moment in time, I guess I will have to be patient.

I had a mooch of the book today.

A few new things for you;
Corpse Cart does 2D6 attacks
Varghulf is WS5 S5 and T5 which is a good thing.
Zombie Dragons are lower Toughness but have higher weapon skill and more attacks than last time.

Our list of items and armoury in the rumour round-up is spot on.

They are any kind of vampire. One who has lost the battle with the beast within or embraced the beast... Or something like that. If we look at the bat carstein model and the bloodthirsty Blood knights I think it´s obvious Vampires have no taken another step towards embracing the beast within to some point. Not many days now till we know now though

Ok I don't think this is really new info but I just got it from GW direct(he was looking in the book)

1) Vampire Counts and Vampire willl have the same stat line as current Counts/ thrall respectively. Counts however will have leadership 10.

2) The magic level upgrade available only to Counts will cost 50pts instead of the standard 35

3) I ordered my spearhead today it should arive by the 18th as I paid for rush shipping, (cross fingers) maybe sooner.

Then it makes sense, actually. Upgrading yourself from level 2 to level 3 makes more of a difference than doing it from 1 to 2 or 3 to 4, because you generate one more dispel dice at level 3.

I'm pretty sure he means from lvl 0 to 1, because even with 50pts IMO an army of lvl3 casters would be broken.
