Von Carstein is my favourite. I like blood dragons too but somehow I find it kinda narrow-minded just practicing killing stuff when you could be doing so much more. Von Carsteins have great magic and great fighting skills that are just somewhat lower than their counterparts. They also have much more class and can still be savages and rip people apart (Konrad). I think the von carsteins are the only vampires who don't limit themselves to simply one aspect when they have got so many vampiric gifts.
They're the only vampires who have made any inpact on the world. Sitting at blood keep training forever just isn't as cool as building gigantic undead empires and conquering all.

I think it's like this: The old hermit and martial artist living on a mountain just killing and dueling people is the best duelist. But it is the great warlord who is actually doing some real fighting and making a mark on history.

Strigoi just look a bit too ugly for me, and they also seem not being able to speak and eating corpses isn't cool.

Lahmians are very sexy but still they're girls and girls can be cute but they're not as powerful as men (somehow I feel I'm going to regret saying that in some decades).

Blood dragons look awesome, they fight great but limiting yourself to only fighting is not really cool.

Necrarchs are very cool wielding magics and all. But they're so frail. I mean 1 hour excersizing a day wouldn't hurt em.

Von Carsteins are great fighters, wizards, generals and can shapeshift a lot more than other vampires. They also have an aristocratic feeling about them.

I also like the von Carsteins the most out of the vampiric blood lines. It doesn't get any better than with the aristocracy of the night, you know. ;)

I'm a Blood Dragon fan myself. The whole theme of fallen knights who are fighting an eternal battle for honor appeals to me. The story of Abhorash was also quite good. The fact that he was the only vampire to overcome the thirst proves that we can only achieve what we want by fighting for it.

The Necharchs. They acknowledge the power that keeps the Vampire soul enthralled. They are patient malevolent and powerful

It's funny that Blood Dragons barely beat von Carsteins at the top. xD

Similarly, Lahmia barely beats Strigoi too. Something I wouldn't have guessed.

From memory, the order from highest to lowest popularity was von Carstein, Blood Dragon, Strigoi, Necrarch, Lahmian, Necromancer.

I guess this has changed a bit over time.

Von Carsteins all the way, i like the classic vampire style. Vlad is probably my favorite fluff-wise and Mannfred in game terms

I LOVE Necrarch. I'm a huge fan of the Nosferatu-look, and Necrarch has more than a little Nosferatu in them. The rotting, deformed look is just awesome. And the fact that they are insane wizards who live in tall, dark towers is just beyond awesome! I would never want to become one myself, though. :P

I must say, I greatly prefer the magic-heavy style, and the Megalomaniac within me simply cannot dismiss the desire to rule over my personal legion of shambling undead experiments, so Necrarch.

Blood Dragon, partly because the first army I fell for was Bretonnians. All Honor, Skilled close-combat fighter, would rather die then bow to the unworthy.
The proud warrior all the way. The other part of it because I love power and skill, blood Dragons can face about any foe in a challange and live,(well at least survive).
Oh, and thank you darknesseternal, and Lord Firmshaft. I laughed so hard I cried. HaHaHa...

definitely von carstein for me

not only are they a nice combo of everything but they represent the original vampire that was brought into existence (dracula). not to mention they have alot of his powers at their disposal which is so awesome. and their characters are sooo amazing.

also, i (as a human) wouldnt fit into any other vampire archetype. im not a meathead and i like magic (so no blood dragon), im not an outcast animal freak (no strigoi), im not a girl (no lahmian) and im not a weakling scientist (no necrarch). the only thing left for me is Von Carstein

Blood Dragons, because they remind me of a rather amazing 80's movie.

There can be only one!

No but really, Martial prowess, a strange sense of honour and a slight hint of arrogance.

well, though I never got a chance to play 6th ed~I'd have chosen strigoi~not play-wise, but their fluff is pretty badass, savagery, bloodlust, hellish strength~jeeez. need I say more?

(too bad they lived in forests on the outskirts of civilization, ate what they could find, beat up by everyone, and losing their sanity)

Necrarchs have everything a typical villain needs, the evil schemes, the insanity, minions and of course a hidden tower {strange how this last point seems to be a major selling point to most Necrarch fans!}

It's funny how all of these towers have managed to remain hidden!

For me it has to be the Blood Dragons. I really like the 'fallen knight' concept, they seem to be the tragic-heroes of the Bloodlines. Now that the 7th Edition has come out they've got the opportunity to become far less one-dimensional too. My own vampire lord comes from this Bloodline funnily enough... ;)

I'm also fond of the Necrarch Bloodline too, but the Blood Dragons are slightly ahead in my mind. I also like the von Carsteins, but I find them very... petty... at the same time. There's more to do out there other than conquer the Empire and fight amongst yourselves!

As for the Lahmian and Strigoi Bloodlines, I honestly have no opinion on them. They have just never grabbed me.

I don't really count the Necromancers as a Bloodline, as they're still human! Nevertheless, I've always liked having Necomancers; I love the imagery of a plotting Necromancer skulking around in the shadows behind its vampire master!

Think that's all of them... :vampire3:

Blood Dragon. No ifs, no buts. I just love the lofty ideals that this bloodline seems to have.

Strigoi would be my second choice. Whilst I love the whole idealistic nature of Blood Dragons, I also have a soft spot for these under dogs of the Vampire realms. I also love the thought that these are essentially Vampires that have all but given into to their beastly 'nature'.

I have to pick Von Carstein. They're the movers and shakers of the world, the class of vampire that makes them an army in warhammer. Without the von Carsteins, there really wouldn't BE a vampire threat, and no vampire army. Each line is interesting in its own way, but I have to pick the core of the vampires, and that is von Carstein. All large wars were fought with a von Carstein in charge (as far as I know).
