What's your favourite Bloodline

Hi, im actually new here and thought that this thread would be a good way to get to know how to use the forums.

Well i would have to say that my favourite Bloodline is Von Carstein, mostly because i reckon the von carsteins have the best fluff and characters ( After all who can resist Vlads pure Awesomeness)

For me it depends. I love the fluff of the Von Carsteins, because their the typical almost dracula like vampires, whereas the Blood Dragons are awesome because, well, their undead knights. Which is awesome. However, I had to vote for Necrarch for 2 reasons;
1) Their fluff is as cool as the Von Carstein, at least. I mean, their insane evil wizards, what could be better.
2) Their gameplay. I know this is more of a fluff-based opinion thread but still. Necrarch stryle vampires are so awesome, just sit there and raise so many units its not even funny.

I like the Blood Dragons the best model wise.
Never been a fan of Carstein models, but like their fluff. I dont see the Carsteins as petty, as some of them believe what they are trying to do is for the good of the empire, and I love the idea of a vampire being emperor.
I like the evil genius style of the Necrarchs as well, and I love the looks and idea of the Strigoi.
All these different facets are all good in my opinion.
I voted Blood Dragons. Vampires devoted to warfare, with Abhorash being like the Sun Tzu of Vampires.

i voted for the Necrarch's as i love magic in any game and Warhammer is no exception, i always try to have at least a couple of wizards in my armies (VC and others) and my lord is usually a caster not a combat lord.
though i find it really difficult to pick a specific bloodline, i like them all for various reasons and can never decide which aspect of vampires i like more

Bloodlines: I like the Khaibit for the shadow powers (and the background is well-written; but I see them more like the anti-Imhotep cult in "The Mummy" rather than as the chaos-loving anarchists that make up the Settites in "Mekhet: the Hidden"). And, of course, the Spina from the "Invictus" book, for warrior-Daeva.

I like the blood dragon. I also like Necrach. I like them from a fluff and modeling perspective; fluff because I like the idea of the lunatic living in a tower, raising the dead to kidnap villagers so he can perform experiments on them.

I just can't pick any one Bloodline...
I, personally, cannot conform to presets. And so, for ALMOST any character fluff I come up with, It is something unique, e.g. Harland (You may think he is Blood Dragon, but there are key differences: Blood Dragons origionated from Blood Keep, Harland is much, much older than that; The Blood Dragons hold Honour as being extremely important, Harland doesn't even give it a passing thought; and finally many of them fight horse back, and Harland certainly doesn't).
So I just can't decide...
Although, Out of those ones, I would have to say...

FWIW Blood Dragons didn't Originate from Blood Keep, the Blood Knights did an Order Created by Harkon.
Blood Dragons are the Blood Line and can be over 4,000 years old in the extreme.

I made this backstory cause I have way way too much time on my hands. I am comparable to a necrarch. A complete recluse. Dont like the bloodline though.:tongue:

Von Carstein.If I were a vamp that would be the type for me(in the GW mythos).
In all possible worlds it would be the Masters of the Sabbat..dominating from the shadows w/ an iron fist.
It's only natural to rule ones cattle.It seems to be the Von Carstein way...and I agree.
It's funny that those old epics being spouted were primarily about boning cattle..

I like the Necrarch...but it occurs to me,that if they acheive their goal and create a "world of death",they'll find themselves sucking on a dry tit forever
I like the strigoi,they are like a combo between Nosferatu and Gangrel.
But you don't have to be fugly forever to be a death machine hunter....there are ways around this.Looking so inhuman might be fun for a minute,but it would seriously limit your long term options.necrarch too
Last but not least,the Blood Dragons,seem really appealing at first.In the end I decided that it would be tiresome to spend all eternity overcompensating.
Necromancers are second fiddle at best and hardly bare mentioning.

The von Cartstein's! They are the archetypal vampires in the Old World. Average necromancers, fearsome warriors ... What more could you want?

Lahmians - class counts for nothing when you have nothing
Blood Dragons - pretty cool, my second favourite Bloodline
Necrach - nah. I'd rather be mediocre with magic and good with a sword than just magic AND surround myself with rotting bodies because I'm hideous to look at and the stench I give off is enough to knock out a rhinox at 50 paces
Necromancers - just pretty boring, imo
Strigoi - they're OK, but they ARE pretty much the homeless outcasts of the vampiric substructure to the Old World
