Welcome JPEG, King Arthur (and all others on the page beforehand) ! the two of you are from pretty opposite ends of the spectrum! I hope this forum can provide all the answers you need (has for me!) but even if it doesn't I hope to see you hang around anyway, we have quite a number of players who don't even have vampire counts and a decent number on top of that who don't even do the hobby anymore but stick around 'cause it's great in these parts :vampire3: . I look forward to seeing more of you soon

Thanks Lynx!! Yes, very different indeed!!!!! I just love the characteristics of the Citadel Miniatures produced in the 80's, probably because I was 11 in 1989 and was introduced to the hobby, that era holds special memories that the modern GW does not for me anyway.

My rebuilding is expanding as I type which I am very happy about and I have found some true classics which I feared were lost forever!

I plan to post my army first in the WIP forum as it grows and share my passion for painting and collecting for fellow members

This is a wonderful site and very nice to find so many Undead enthusiasts :vampire3:

Best Regards

King Arthur

Hey guys,
I'm brand new to Warhammer, but I have a couple friends that have been playing Fantasy and 40k for years- they have/are working on a Dwarf army, a Skaven army, a Warriors of Chaos army, and an Ogre army- and after looking at the different armies, I thought Vampire Counts were awesome. So here I am. I'm currently planning on buying the VC Battalion, some Grave Guard, and a general of some sort to start- I'm not sure what kind of general yet. I still have some homework to do. My friends and I have decided to start small, ~500 points, so I'll be expanding slowly. It was quite nice to find such an extensive forum dedicated just to Vampire Counts!

Seeya around,
JPEG.

Welcome fellow newbie :konrad:

Welcome also to Warhammer!!! It is a great game and a truly unique universe in which to immerse yourself in

I am not a collector or gamer of the modern stuff, I play the classic Warhammer 3rd Edition, but the current Wight King, Banshee and Necromancer are good models ;)

Good luck with your collection and happy gaming

Afternoon (or morning, or evening or whatever) im Amuse Me

Ive been in the whole warhammer thing for around 6 years. I started VC's during the old book, maybe 2 years ago, and had a ball with them. I didnt get to play too many games, for i spent most of the time playing with my nids instead... For the past year, ive had a break from the hobby to let my wallet refill itself. I signed up here to get and give advice on the new(ish) Vampires. I think ill enjoy my time here!

Welcome! I am very new myself and can say you will have fun here, the people are friendly if not a bit nutty! (only a good thing!)

Hello,

I am Stephen and I have been playing Warhammer Fantasy for 20 years. VC were my first army but they have been dormant for many years as I played Dwarfs, Bretonnians and most recently High Elfs.

But a friend recently asked my to dig out my VC army to try out the new book and I enjoyed it tremendously.

So here I am, freshly raised so to speak, and ready to make the world safe for the undead or living challenged if that is the more politically correct phrase.

Cheers All.

Welcome to the family! Like always, do leave your sanity at the door. You will not need it here!

Hello all,

Blanco here pretty much brand new to warhammer fantasy. I currently play Vampires and for 40k play Orks, Necrons, and Dark Angels. Decided to start a new army but not in 40k. For Vampires I have close to 1500 w/ battalion w/ Necro, Vampire lord, and Vargheists.

Welcome Blanco!

What do you plan to add to your army, do you have anything in mind?

If you ever need help, or are just bored, feel welcome to Pm me, I may be less scary than the uber mods that grace us with their presence. xD

I am ToxikVamp. I have been reading up alot concerning VC and have found it and Lizardmen to be interesting.

I am brand new to playing WHF so please be gentle lol

I am used to WH40K.

Greetings all, been lurking for a few weeks and have liked what I have seen so far. So I went and registered. Look forward to interacting with you all on the forums. Just started a Vampire Counts army so will probably have a few questions. Peace.

Hi all. I've been playing Vampire Counts on the side since 6th edition and now for 8th edition they've worked their way up to my main army. I've been doing a bit of lurking now and then and so I decided to go over and register. Nice to meet you all!

Hiya all three, welcome!

@Toxik Ah don't worry, we're very gentle.. until we bring the whips out..

Seriously though, if any of you feel a little lost, need some gaming advice, or just are plane bored, don't hesitate to message me, I'm on every day for at least a couple of hours and I'll be happy to help you out! ( or defer you to someone who knows better than me  )

See you around!

I am called Ketch117. I hope I find myself welcome in this house. To come in health, go safely and leave behind some of the happiness that I bring…
That out of the way, I've been playing Warhammer on and off for some years, and have been collecting an Undead army most of that time. I was linked to this site, and joined on a whim, as occasionally been my habit. Keeps one from getting stagnant, no?

Welcome Keith, and I garuntee that you'll be met freindily (is that a word?) by us here. We're a lovely, if odd bunch here!

Indeed it stops stagnancy this forum, yet it managed to replace the hobby for me!

Hello Ketch! Welcome to the madhouse and I already like you due to the little VAsh-something discussion!

Hello, my name is Mikkayla, I am brand new to Warhammer. I am picking up my army in a few days and will assemble and choose from there. I look forward to talking with you all. Thanks :)

Remember, vamps are ze best O_O

Welcome!

Hi all, been playing VC regularly since just after the 8th edition army book dropped. I've lurked here a little bit on and off, and starting my own Vampire Counts gaming/painting blog pushed me to sign up.

It's probably awfully bad form to sign up and straight away shill my own blog, but I'm hoping it's interesting enough to warrant a look :) I'm aiming to post at least a battle report per week, plus a hobby/tactics post over the weekend.

Feedback most appreciated!

Hello all.
I am fairly new to VC. I've played dwarfs for a while now, but decided to give another army a try. Since I had some of the old Undead models I chose the VC.
I am giving my army a makeover, but I am not an artist, so dont expect me to post a lot of brilliant photos of an epic army.
I am not a brilliant general. I am just a 33 year old stepdad who try to escape real life once a week :-)

I play WFB mostly for fun, allthough I enter some tournaments and normally end up in the bottom half.

So... Thats it :-)

Hey Brimstone, welcome to CN :) I myself am neither a brilliant general (I've probably played a grand total of less than 10 WHFB games) and I don't paint all that much!

But ... None of that matters here; we have people who play, people who paint and people who don't have much anything to do with Warhammer at all! Just come and hang out, as long as everyone's happy there's no problem! If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask - we don't bite, honest! :vampire2:

Hey all, just a new player to fantasy and vampire counts that is trying to take it all in. I have to say that out of all the armies I have seen that this has to be one of the best looking armies and I am amazed at this forum. :O Hope to be speaking to you all soon. xD

Hi everyone! I just registered after a few days of lurking and reading through dozens of pages of intense tactics discussions. xD Not much of a tactician myself (I consider myself more of a decent painter than a great general) I'm glad to have found a place where I can get lots of great advice.

I am currently painting up the core of my fledgling VC army. I'll set up my painting blog shortly and look forward to getting feedback and comments and exchanging ideas with the other Vampires and Necromancers around here!
