Hello Everybody,
I arise as fresh meat in the ranks of Vampire Counts. After playing
40k about 10 years ago, when I was still a child, I've run into an old friend who convinced me to play Mordheim, because of the low model count, so it was easy to jump in. Of course after painting a few models and playing a few games, I was hooked again, and decided to join the others in their warhammer battles as well. And my only army could be Vampire Counts after a secret love for them back in the days when I still read the White Dwarf 10 years ago.
So I made a basic model list of what I needed,.... a lot of models and a lot of cash apparently! That tempered my enthusiasm quite a bit, not being used to Games Workshop prices while living in the real world

. They told me about Mantic models, but even then it would be a huge investment and I didn't like the models to much.
But lucky for me I found an awesome deal to buy the following second hand, almost everything unpainted and assembled in a neat way, only 40 skeletons and a Varghulf and some Carn Wraiths were painted, very well painted, although not really my style, but I can repaint them if I wish.
So I managed to buy this for only 250 Euros
1x Vampire
1x Mounted Vampire
Blood dragon mntd. lance
Blood dragon on absyl terror

2x necromancer with staff
4x cairn wraith (pro painted)

I've played my first game yesterday 1000 pts. defeating an experienced Empire player, while only losing one Skeleton and one Zombie.... and my hero vampire after a last turn Challenge vs a Witchhunter, he completely failed to hit, and was chopped down by his great weapon, bummer.
All by all, glad they played just as I imagined and I've only tried one approach this time, much more to experiment with!
Glad to be on Board!
