*steps out from the shadows* Hey, been lurking your tactics section for a while. Thought id join in. Got about 6000 points of painted vampire counts, working towards 10,000. Got into warhams when i was 12 played till i was 17 then i got a bit distracted by slaneesh . However i got back into it last year, when in my FLGS randomly & decided to get the vampire counts army i always wanted. Oh yeah im 22 now if that matters & I'm from england. So erm Hi Everybody!!! >:3

Hello there,

I am a long time lurker and I decided it was time to come out of the light and into the shadows !

I have been away from all things GW for a long time, although I have tried to keep up to date with the all the changes and developments within the GW Universe - both within the game and fluff. Anyway, earlier on in the year I was passing a GW store in London and had a look around for old times sake. I picked up the VC book and was instantly hooked; I bought the book there and then and have been planning and plotting my themes, background and conversions for my army ever since. A few months down the line and It has reached the point where I need to stop thinking and start doing. I have several boxes of goodies (badies ?), that need assembling and painting and I am hoping that by signing up to here I will receive some advise and encouragement to help me see this project through to the end :konrad:

Hello everyone, TechnoWarlord here. I've been working on my VC army for a couple years (started with 6th edition just before they announced the date for 7th). My army stands at 1500 pts pre-upgrades and such.

My main opponent is the Dark Elves (my fiance's army) and secondary is the Bretonnians (my only other freind that plays) both of which only have 1000pt lists :frown: so I never get to go full force (as much as I can at least).

I have been able to develop some decent tactics against them though. Example being: Ethereal units to keep bowman (cross or long) from being able to pick away your units, just slap your E. unit into close combat and boom no more shooting. (just watch out for the combat res. it can get messy).

If you have questions, I have answers, let's hope they match. Message me.

Does any one really read these other than the Admins?

I read this thread and I'm not an Admin. We have a huge collection of tactical know-how in the To War section. I'm sure your wisdom would be welcome there.

Hello, I'm Berras, belgian player, only been playing warhammer for 3-4 months. Started of with vampire counts. I now have a ghoul army of around 3k.

My army houses ghouls (how obvious), corpse carts, 8 blood knights, a varghulf, black coach, zombie dragons (one up, second is coming) and grave guard. I have one colour for my armed and uniformed units, which I also use in my new 40k army: light blue and purple. about one third of my army is now painted and completely assembled. I hope I can find some good tactics to improve my game and resist those heavy attacks, which my ghouls (sadly) have no saves for.

I use many converted models, as blood knights are out of production models and sometimes, others just look cooler.

Welcome to all of you new ones. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here.

You do know that you're sort of forcing yourself into showing us those models/armies that you're flaunting, right? ;)

Greetingss, im a new VC player trying to learn the tricks of the undying, hopefully will become a worthy general :D
I also play with chaos dwarves from time to time. Still waiting fir the new rulebook!
this site looks really cool, well done!

Hey All,

New to this forum and to the Vampire Counts. I play Dwarfs normally but am looking at building a VC army over the next few months so will be looking for advice on what is worth spending out on.

Thanks

Hey to both of you!

Thanks for the compliment about the website. So we got new Dwarfs players that turned dead! Good! I like Dwarf Ironbreakers :P That armour really makes them cool.

VC is a nice army to play. About buying new units, I'd suggest starting out with a Vamp and a box of Skeletons, you'll need both in any basic army. :)

Welcome to the man from Down Under!

You can make a bio under User Control Panel -> User CP. Under ''your profile'', you can fill in your details. You can have your own avatar, signature and custom title, too!

so when do you think I'll get the O.K or the N.O for my bio?

Ah you meant the RPG bio. I thought your own bio. RPG bio's can be posted in the designated forum you wish to participate. The Vampire Council has a sign up thread in a sub-forum called 'OOC TVC': Sign up thread

Hi Guy,

A new thrall joins the host.

Hi and welcome. Nice ideas in your paint log ;)

Hello!

I found your site after a few hours of clicking looking for 7th edition Vampire Counts tactics, seeing as I haven't played any games with the new units/rules yet... I know, shame on me, shame on me. I have to say, after looking around here for a good four, four and a half hours, I have nothing but good words for your forum. From what I can see there are some really skilled painters, generals, and generally nice people here, willing to help out others with good advice and positive criticism.

I'll definitely be frequenting this place often in the future, and although I probably won't be very noticable (I tend to lurk a lot and let other people ask questions for me rather than clog the place up with my ramblings) I'll never be far away!

I'd have to say thanks to everyone here for making this such a good place to be, and I hope my stay here will be long and prosperous (unlike the lives of my enemies)!

Greetings,

~Ravichos, a lone Englishman living in the Netherlands in the hope of some day obtaining some form of education

Hi and welcome!

Where do you study? I take it you're on a university or HBO?

That's a good thing :)

That's a bad thing. :( If each member thinks this way, the forum could die! We need people to post!

University of Utrecht, fourth year Pharmacy student!

I'll try and be an active poster, but I'm not sure my knowledge and skill in either Warhammer or VC is sufficient to be of any contribution  Then again, if I stick around long enough, I'd assume I'd be getting better, so who knows...

Well always be sure to post questions you have, army lists, painted models (maybe even a paint log), battle reports, stories and background and perhaps development ideas. You might also be able to have fun in Off Topic, join The Vampire Council RPG and help us with the Bloodline Armies/Nagash Legion. Everyone's effort counts!

And by the way, my bro studies there, but on HBO. And a friend of mine is there too (Physics and Astronomy). I'm in Nijmegen :)

Thanks for the support, I'll see if I have any paint jobs worth sharing this weekend when I bring my camera home, and I'll definitely be around asking for help with some 2000-point army lists... Before I pester you guys with my foolish questions though, I'll take a bit more time to look at them and think for myself! ;) You Undead Overlords are rather intimidating, with your fangs and your zombie minions, I wouldn't want to be making a bad first impression! (I don't think becoming Dire Wolf food would be a good way to go!)

We're not intimidating!

Although, I can't see myself in the mirror anymore.

My zombies are nothing compared to DoN's... I think he even got more than the first 100 members.

Just post up your stuff. We can always give advice.

It's not about how good you are at something. I sometimes aren't up to date anyhow, but it's fun to know stuff if people still tell you.

And besides, I suck at the game and painting too ;)

hello, my name is count gabriel.

i've just recently bought a VC battalion to start off my VC army. im new to both the VC and Warhammer. i absolutely love the game, and im really digging the VC.

any suggestions please hit me up, always open to advice and such!
