Hi all,
So I'm afraid Gaius is bound for the great scrap heap in the sky... a combination of writers block and the story taking turns I had not expected (kudo's to Manny for that though, it's always nice to be suprised) I find myself loosing enthusiasm and thus, in consultation with the dark lord of the roleplay (aka Manny) I would like to submit a replacement character for your perusal.
Name: Dhar'eon the Bound
A.K.A: Jharims lament, Blade of nsjgespjn, Darktooth, artifact 5738D4G, and many more
Age: Undeterminable
Place of Binding: Dhar'eon is a daemon, and as such was never truly "born". He was bound in the form of a weapon in a powerful ritual on an unknown planet far from the eyes of the Ordo Malleus.
Physical description: Dhar'eon takes the form of an edged weapon, though his form warps and twists so it is often hard to truly define what "type" of blade he is at any given moment. He often fashions himself an illusionary "wielder" to make travel and conversation easier as well as to mislead or confuse his enemy.
Brief History: Dhar'eon's first known actions were upon a small populated moon of a system abutting Imperial space. Contact was lost with the colonists and a detatchment of the local garison was dispatched to investigate the situation under the expectation of an Ork or Tyranid infestation. Upon arrival they were met by a terrified child who told stories of uncovering something dark in their terraforming operations and of great beasts killing everyone. The corpses strewn about the site stood mute attestment to the claims, so the commander of the detachment, who was ever a cautious man, decided to abandon the site and wait for further instructions, taking their sole witness aboard.
The "witness" turned out to be Dhar'eon, wearing the guise of one of the colonists children. Once the childs actual body was identified a great search was conducted but the shape-shifting daemon had already concealed himself among the garrison forces and escaped. After a long and bloody chase consisting of Dhar' pursuing powerful men in order to "devour their souls" and thus gain their strength he was finally cornered by a powerful Malleus Inquisitor named Jharim the Soulbound, who restrained the daemon with his psychic might and fashioned him into a mighty sword. Eventually though, the nattering of a daemon undoes the minds of any mortal man, no matter how potent his psychic defences and Jharim the Soulbound became Jharim the Soulless, his mind devoured by the very monster he had wielded in the Emperors name for nie on a century. After his capture and execution by the Ordo Malleus, his daemonweapon was reported purged and destroyed with the Emperors holy judgement...

Dhar'eon can adopt te form of a mundane weapon, and can also create illusionary forms or "wielders." However, in his current weakened state these forms are slightly indistinct if scrutinised closely (blurred features, often wearing a cloak or similar to shroud details) and appear smoky/ ethereal in strong light.
Daemonology 4
Dhar'eon is a daemonic entity and as such has a solid working knowledge of the wap and it's denizens. He has however, been out of touch for a long time and may not be up to speed with current events and powerplays
Equipment:
Himself: Dhar'eon is his own weapon, and as such has no true need of armour or equipment. He adapts his form to the situation, in battle extending and retracting, flowing to different weapon styles and forms, though always with a bladed edge in order to draw the "essense" from his kills.
Sorcerous powers: Though not equipment per se, Dhar'eon can call upon a few inherent powers. The most obvious of these is his flowing form and the manifestation of a "wielder" but he can if the situation warrants it, expel black shadowy flames (though this burns through his strength quite rapidly) and can also perform a variety of minor "tricks" as he refers to them.
So there he is so far for your approval. Any suggestions would be appreciated as to how to tweak him but you'll note his daemonic "type" and which god he serves are deliberately absent... Gotta have few secrets don't I? Depending on how Manny writes him into the story you may or may not no much about him at all...
