Oooh been a while since I looked in here. Some very nice work, especially the Hellcannon.

As for your GB entry, well the conversion is great. It certainly looks promising, so I eagerly to await to see what the final version looks like.

The reeds on the base are actually pieces of moss stems that I found while walking around with my camera. I snatched them up and thought they'd come in handy one day so I kept them in my hobby cabinet in a plastic baggy. Turns out I was right

Haha, thanks. I'll hopefully be done with the Necromancer either tonight or tomorrow. I'm having a field day blending on him.

Then it's back to working on my army since I have tournament coming up in the last week of September!!

Finally got the little buddy up onto Coolminiornot.com so that I'm at the mercy of the voting panel to see how this guy ranks up. I'm hoping to break an "8" on him, but we'll see.

Now it's time to resume work on my WOC army. I've had to make some changes to the list itself as I'm hopefully able to make it to a tournament with Swiss Dictator in late September, but with the state government shutdown (I'm a state employee) and the recent mishap with my car costing me a ton, I might have to miss out on it, argh. Hopefully I can go though.

I'll post some pics up tonight of my WOC stuff.

No worries at all, we all get dumped on from time to time. Just keep your head up and chuggin' along.

By all means enter! Just because someone paints a model doesn't mean that it's an instant win. In the end it all comes down to who gets the most votes.

Thanks! I have a couple of Nikons I switch on and off with, a Nikon Coolpix P90 or my Nikon D200. It doesn't matter what camera you really use as long as you can get good macro capabilities and a good resolution/ pixel number out of it. When shooting minis, a tripod is a must. Any shaking or movement of the camera will disrupt the image!

They look great, but I'm bummed it isn't a product I could buy! I use a grey lichen that grows around here as dead foliage, amazing what you can find.

Here is my final list. I did some homework and looking around and here's what I have with some fluff included!

Best of all, it has 150 marauders creating a true Horde of Chaos. I'm quite sure some people will do a double take on this one...

The background of this army is an aggressive sorcerer, Valsineous the Defiler, that is gaining power through the North. While he's primarily engaged in the darker lores of shadow and death, he's acquired more and more items that favor Tzeentch as the Fateweaver begins to entice the young sorcerer further and further into his graces.

Now, a following has begun for this young sorcerer as different champions and tribes strive to join him.

Played this army on Sunday, and boy was it a bloody battle!

Took Dark Elves. Two units of warriors (40 strong after characters), 18 Black Guard, 5 Dark Riders, 2 units of 10 Crossbows with shields, Cauldron BSB, Hydra, a lvl 4 and lvl 2 of dark magic (lvl 4 had dagger), and a stubborn dreadlord.

It was a blood bath. Made the mistake of putting my Black Guard in the center and not on the flank, as I gave them the +1 movement banner to flank with.

The sheer horde of marauders was a significant advantage. Jake ended up winning *big*. Marauders may not be hard to wound, but there were so damn many! Hydra did a bit better than expected too. Honestly it was a very fun game, and a very fun list that I thought was very fluffy. Not unbeatable, but it has a nice set of teeth. I'll be putting it to the test with several armies. Somehow I suspect Khorne will be happy about this, lol. Should be fun.
