Its a very old very very chaos thing. I am not sure it was painted for a freind. He has played 40k since it first came out.

Oh I remember those... I think they normally got painted up for tzeench as the bottom of the robes echoed the shapes of the original horrors and flamers (if you remember them?). They were around in the early 90s. The right arm has the old pattern of plasma weapons.

RE: space hulk basing
if you intend to use them in 40k, definatly. You will want to use the 40mm round bases. (Will make it alot clearer which minis are base to base, make measuring more accurate, etc). Using them without proper bases in 40k would make them look a bit strange on the board and make things a bit ambiguous when playing.
If you want you could make the bases detachable, but they probably wont detract from their use in space hulk games anyway (some people based them for use in space hulk just to make which way they are facing clearer)

If it were me I'd have 2 sets and I'd magnetise them. That way you can have the tie in with your force but not look daft running around the bulkheads of some frigate.

For mine I am going to base them as being in a city/industrial area, so the bits of metal their feet and such are attached to (particularly the one that is tearing up the floor) dont look out of place.

Will definitely want them on 40mm for use in 40k.
I never picked up the new Space Hulk game... if putting them on 40mm bases interferes with game play, then I'd make them magnetized!

Space hulk librarian
Space hulk librarian I love this guy But as I do not play blood angels does he have a over abundance of blood angels icongrapy or could I transform him into a salamander marine without changing the figure. (or at least not changing it much).

He's got a few blood drops on one pauldron, both gauntlets and one knee pad, winged blood drop on the top of the codex mounted over his shoulders, another on the back of the terminator armour and a fairly small one in the centre of the belt buckle thingy. None of which should be too difficult to remove either with a file or craft knife.
A lot of the iconography on him relates to him being a Librarian rather than being chapter specific. The rest of the Space Hulk Terminators have a lot more Blood Angels iconography on them.

Hey! I got salamanders too! Loved the fluff, back when they shared a book with Black Templars- was it Armageddon? Must dig it out. I liked the different special rules they had- cheaper terminators, but limited weapon choices,lots of meltas- ah, happy days. But mine don't look half as good as yours. Great work.
