So I want to do one of the coven throne girls on Foot for a fighting vampiress for my wife.

What legs should I use having troubles finding ones I like,

Mmmmm sexy paint collection !
You have quite the array of colours. I would be hard pressed to find a reason to mix any of them unless you were going for something completely left field. Very jealous

I should get around to trying p3 paints some time.

I still mix things but your right the amount I have to mix is less. Mostly its a few custom washes and colors that I need or want for things.

Dark elves, dark eldar, brettonian damsels or female high elf wizards would be your best bets however i think you are up for some serious re-posing to get the bodies to look natural in a standing up pose Santa

Easier way might be to have her carried by some skeletons or zombies, I think posing them to carry her would be easier than reposing the model herself. Plus what kind of Vampiress wants to actually exert the energy required to walk places? Save such labours for her slaves.

Zombie giant oshit. He can see, but his vision is clouded by dirt. He died young. Cause of death was decided to be drowning. He fell into a dry creek bed and couldn’t swim.

Of course, drowning was made easier given that he was weighted down in that dry creek bed.

Mannifred has a new slogan. United in undeath!

Disaster in the painting world. I was working on his sword and peeled off all the paint down to bare mini. I’m so friggin pissed at myself.

Ugh. That’s three hours of work down the drain. So I cleaned the paint fully off on the sword and am reprimering it, using the imperial primer. While that dries, I’ll work on his skin.

Might be the natural character for a flying carpet.

Of course, a friend of mine is working on something else. Using the lounging vampiress and one of the Reaper ghasts. The Basic look is a giant undead creature carrying her about while he uses the pair as a single vampire.

Maybe Dark elf corsairs legs, cutting the bootpart would fit.
There is also the blood vestals from the raging heroesrange, that are, umm, nicely shaped
Or maybe as suggested above, have critters, minivamps, zombies carrying here, something like dwarven shieldbearers?
Maybe a hunchback fellow like Igor from frankenstein, quasimodo or such?

Also,Sorry for jacking the thread a bit, but have another thinking about the coven vampires. any1 tried fitting them 'ladylike' on horses or such? is it viable or their pose are too much fit for the stairs of the throne? Looking for cool mounted females for my vampharem army, after all, there can only be one male in the pack....erv:

They are pretty but on preorder so that sucks. I am going to try the mounted idea.

Use a bone saw to cut her face off, and replace it with another. Then just greenstuff some hair around the seams to blend it in...

Not that I'm aware of... I believe she's still metal. (**EDIT: now confirmed by the Canadian GW Site that describes the box as "this set contains 1 metal Fay Enchantress)

tutorial: Maggot skin and werewolf fur

Seen the reaper bone minis yet?
Here is a wurm primered bone.

And now he’s washed flesh.

And now the belly is painted in maiden flesh from reaper and washed sepia too

The wurm is going to be used as a chaos spawn for my 40k armies. Hurray for rot and filth and blood.
Finished the wurm too!!

And the werewolf, also the reaper bone. Cursed by Vlad to be forever mortal, to be forever hunted, this creature was once a mighty warrior of the black wolves. He is forever doomed to roam the earth as a ravenous beast.
This is before he was primered.

This is him primered black.

A drybrush. Shadow grey.

Washed black

Moving on. His mane and other long fur is white/ grey.

And done!!

And this is the werewolf who reminded me of how I wanted to do my werewolves.

He looks great I just have two little snips of advice. One the bone seems really flat (thats what she said) and I think you could bring it out more. Two his armor seems to be lacking something, maybe a gloss varnish?o.o

Hot tub of blood

So I had a idea to do a hot tub of book using the blood bowl on the coven throne but I need female victims for it. I would prefer top half nude's

What figures sound good anyone?
