Corsairs and Lokhir himself! Some of my favorite elvish models. Great. And very suitable as GW created Scourge Privateers just for you (and me partially ^_^) - corsairs, fleetmaster, kharybdiss and scourgerunner chariot. I also merged them with my lothern sea guard - although they are not for boarding actions (long spears and tower shields are certainly unfit for this in comparison with handbows and short swords used by the corsairs) they complement them nicely.

I was thinking of doing the same thing! My next project is a Lothern Sea Guard force:

Sea Helm and Skycutter
18 Lothern sea Guard
Mage w/ anullian crystal
Repeater Bolt Thrower
Merwyrm

A good idea! Together sea guards and corsairs can form a very potent force. And merwyrm will go smoothly with kharybdiss.

That's what I was thinking, too!

^_^ I like when people think similar sometimes this idea is also good for your idea with ships, because corsairs are good at boarding, but sea guard will fare better in defending the ships against the enemy boarding actions.

Last night I finished up the innkeeper and his daughter. A few models for in the background at the Old Sea Dog tavern.

Those dark elves are superb! I don't know why are they using trolls, but they're cool too And that Kharibdyss is awesome! Great work Innkeeper and his daughter are nice too - that line along his arms disturbs it a bit, but they're still good models and good painting

Scourge Privateers like hunting down different beasts of the realms - some they sell to the highest bidder, some use for their own purposes

Right! I figure they take slaves, but any prisoners who are unfit are fed to the trolls.

That mold line on the innkeeper is unfortunate. I might go back and trim it...

All I had time for was this guy, the mage's familiar:

I went with a different color on the base than my previous models, and I'm thinking about redoing the others in the same color. It's an acrylic paint from the craft store that is a lot cheaper than model paints.

Cute little guy The new base-painting looks good, like a sun-scorched beach - but I wonder if it won't be overpowering on bigger bases... Well, time will tell I wonder how will you tackle those helves

I added some sharks to this underwater group. First, I bought a Shark TOOB at the toy store.

Then, I made up some bases for them.

Finally, I've started painting up sharks based on pictures I find online.

Awesome sharks! Love the spotty one especially. And clever way to make the stands from old sprue.

I ordered one of Frontline Gaming's ocean mats today. They're a little pricey, but are on sale right now. Should be perfect for ship battles.

Definitely. With some cheap buildings and ruins people use for their aquariums it' would be the best!
