I finally finished up the Merwyrm. I made both a land base and a sea base for it.

It's amazing, really like it although I'd say it's more like a lizard rather than a wyrm

It's amazing! The colours work really well for it, that orange fin is an especially striking feature - and those white barnacles give some nice accents too!

@Menkeroth It's legs are rather stubby, maybe it does look like a wyrm when it swims and only the top part is visible - thus, giving him that name

Very nice, and a clever way to allow for different bases.

Pretty sure "wyrm" is Ye Olde German / Norse for any snake, serpent or dragon. Dragon is probably Greek or Latin and sneaks into English post-Christianity. But Google it if you want to check. My brain remembers things badly

I'm so jealous of that merwyrm! Always wanted one since the old Storm of Chaos proposed how one could convert it and the forgeworld one is an excellent mini! Very nice colors and I love the different bases! Is it perhaps so you can use it in AoS and other games respectively?

Exactly. I can use it in AoS, or as a sea monster in D&D, or whatever.

Next up is part two of my attempts to create a good looking dungeon for my vampire lord.

I tried my hand at making some simple dungeon tiles. They are made from a material similar to foam core, but without the paper.

The pieces are cut to size, scored with a pen, and then rolled with a wad of aluminum foil to add texture.

The tiles had a tendency to curl because of the scoring, so I glued each one to another unscored piece.

The pieces were then primed and given two highlights.

All in all, I think they turned out really well. The project cost less that $15 and only took a few hours. Here is an action shot.

Very cool! Looking forward to see it finished! Are you in need of a recommendation for a store that sells dungeon furniture? Ordered some stuff from a good site with a friendly owner so could see if I could find it again!

I wouldn't mind a recommendation. I have a few things on the way from Tabletop World, and I was planning to use the magewrath throne, arcane ruins, and garden of morr as well.

That seems awesome! Realy looking forward to see it all come together. One of these days I just have to grab that Garden or Morr. It's probably the best terrain piece GW ever developed in my opinion. I think the site is called Thomarillion or something and it had loads of furniture stuff!

Well, that came out quick - and is looking really good! Furniture will really 'liven' it up Are you planning on adding some walls? I understand they can interfere a bit, but maybe some low ones? Either way, cool job!

No walls at this point. I might play around with it later. For now, the dwarves are up. Over the holiday, I picked up some dwarfs to add to my small force.



5 ironbreakers and 5 irondrakes. I put them together last night.

This weekend I hope to assemble the gyrocopter/submarine...

Marine Dwarfs, that sounds blasphemous I like it! I really wonder how will that submarine turn out! Or maybe it's just a periscope sticking out of the water?
