Made progress with my vargheists the first time this year. Going for the wings first, luckily there isn't missing much more. Some details at faces and claws/spikes. While I still don't know how to finish the ME, I'll spend time in other things. ...when there is left any next to dark souls :3

I've just picked up a Bret battalion force. The men at arms are my Grave Guard, the archers will by my undead legion archers and the knights will be black knights. The pegasus lord will sacrifice himself to become a Nightmare lord (well... Mannfred will take his mount mwahahahaha). The "conversions" will be mostly done using painting, I'll be going for a monochrome marching at night look with green glows coming from their eyes and deathly stone flesh, blood around the mouths (e.g. horses' mouths as well). The braziers will look awesome as green balefire with some OSL on the archers using my airbrush.

@Banat Sounds like you've got some pretty cool plans going on, looking forward to seeing what you cook up!

I'm still finishing up a batch of orcs and then there's just a big bunch of squigs to put the lid on my OnG army. Meanwhile I've been picking up the remainder of my VC army - just scored a massive bits bundle of skeletons and grave guard on eBay for a decent price. Just a few more bits here and there, nail down that colour scheme and, of course, shed loads of zombies and we are a go!

@Banat Sounds really cool. All of my Tomb King/Undead VC stuff will also be all Bretonnian themed - peasant bowmen as archers, men-at-arms as cheap units of warriors with banners (it's so nice that a unit of 10 warriors with a banner costs only 50 points, good for Blood & Glory), knights as black knights... The knights will look like the Black Knight from Monty Python's Holy Grail. Also the chariots will be heavily converted to look more like black coaches instead. Carrions will be huge crows or ravens, bats will be bats... I hope it'll look nice.

yeah brets are great for vc based bead legion to tie your theme together. Im looking forward to the idea of a trebuchet covered in bloody handprints with a crew of rather dazed looking zombies and baskets of heads. Im having trouble on ideas for the chariots atm so Im leaving them and my necropolis knights are demigryphs. my magic support giant (can't remember its name... d3 to casting roles) is a zombie giant with the balefire brazier from the corpse cart on his back and a skeleton in a gibbet hanging below. need more gibbets for scenery....

At the moment I'm puzzling on the chariots, but I think I will go with ragged looking peasant wagons and/or black coach-like bigger chariots. I'm a big fan of old horror movies, and particularly the wagon scene from the 1922 Nosferatu movie is a big influence to me.

@Skarsnik the Lord Here's some more chariot/coach inspiration for you; watch Bram Stoker's Dracula (with Gary Oldman) and Van Helsing (with Hugh Jackman), there are some cool looking coaches in those films.

This is the "Dracula's Carriage" from Westwind Games.

I just ordered one earlier today. I think it's a much cooler model than the GW Black Coach although I'll be swapping the horses out for the Hexwraith horses. It's also about £10 cheaper and that was INCLUDING the 8 Euro P+P.

Great idea with swapping out the horses, I think a cairn wraith or hexwraith driver would look great too.

I'm working on my WoC army and my dad and I are making a 1/72 ww2 game for fun.

I also plan in the next year to make a bret army with some female knights for my daughter.

@ Farmer7574: Will do, I'll soon start to work on the vampire movies. There's just so many of them it's hard to start from one you know. Gonna check out that one next.

@ Adam_Barrow: Thanks man! I kinda am, I'm working on my undead legions for the ETC tournament in Praha, so I must have some undeads painted before the summer so my Night goblin great shaman can summon up some neat stuff on the board. I'll have some pics in my blog soon, I just today got everything in order, new job and all, so my day schedule will start to be normal once again.
