Double post :(

But I have great news :). Today we celebrated my birthday and I got a camera, a great camera for shooting warhammer miniatures. So now I can take my own pictures whenever I want. Which means a lot more picture ^^

First are two more pictures of my savages, both of their multi-base. Notice all the weird details like... no, lets make it a competition. Find as many weird details as you can

Then I got some pictures of my night gobbos.
First: This is what the enemy see when approaching.

And this is what is hiding behind the banner xD

And lastly a picture of the two unit fillers, a netter an a rank and file.

That's all for now.

Tell me what you think and count up all the strange details you find with the savages.

That was a pretty cool army Mad'at. I liked the conversions as well. I just wish I had painting skills at that level. :)

Nice work Mad 'At and happy birthday. Thats some very nice work Im particuarly digging the orc unit. Its well painted and really effective, it really captures a big tide of green maniacs! Also the zombie head staff on the night goblins is really nice.

This is a really cool army! Love the use of the white colour for your Black orcs! Also beautiful highlights and amazing squigs!!! :D

Pumpwagon is cool too, as is the mascotte!!!

Thank you ^^

No my gobbos are mounted on 20mm squares Treavy, but night gobbos are really small.
And congratulations, you have found the first weird detail , there are some more to discover though.

I believe you are the first one to comment the black orcs Beslakor, I really am surprised it didn't come sooner, thought they were quite striking. But thank you for noticing xD

Mad 'At away

Good job Sanai, I think that pretty much covers it xD. The gauntlet is just a armoured fist he stole from a black orc.

And look a bit closer on the tome, can anyone recognise it? xD

40k rulebook?!

Love this blog. Orcs and goblins are real fun and I love all the silly details and hidden things you have in this army! (The hand lotion and Megaclaw for example are great!).

This army is fantastic, well done! I don't really know what to say about it other than that I like it, oh, and your pump wagon conversion is lovely as well!

Hello

I'm a bit stuck with painting my BSB, more precisely the banner.
Here is how far I've gotten:
ai1222.photobucket.com_albums_dd482_Albin_Moller_PB040035.webp

As not can, no work has been done on the banner itself. I have a few ideas though. The first one was to paint a simple representation of the general's face. But I figured orcs aren't that egocentric.
The second idea base on a circular check pattern with some glyph in it.
Something like this:

The third idea was inspired by the cover of Raubtier's latest album "Skriet från vildmarken". I came up with this (finished it would also have the check pattern):

I'm very pleased with this one but concerned it is not orcy enough. What do you guys think? Could it be use on an Orc BSB?
If not could it be used in VC?

I would go for the second one, it is very orcish in my opinion, reminds me a bit of the flayed face on the warboss shield. And the bsb is amazing

Thanks for the replies :D

I painted this on a piece of paper to try how it would be to paint with a brush.

Since it turned out allright this is what I will paint on the banner aswell.
I squeezed the face together a bit, enlarging the mouth an shrinking the nose and eyes, to make it look more like a squig ^^ Thanks for the idea

i know some see it as cheating but there are primer pens in black to get those crisp lines, though i havent painted a banner yet trying this, my suggestion would be to paint the base color to the banner then white circle (or whatever is off setting the black) then take a pencil to draw the design in the white circle then take the primer pen and just paint inside the lines. just a suggestion but the pen i have is from a company called Parma its a dual tip detail pen.

great job on all your stuff! I love the way the orc range looks and your guys look really good

Thank you Gorethumb, I appreciate the advise, but I was a bit late. I was too impatient so it is already painted. I painted a black circle instead and then used Dheneb Stone to paint the design, the only thing I regret is not plotting the face out with dots since it didn't end up in the middle. xD
Will consider it the next time though.

Here is the finished BSB:

Tell me what you think :zombie:

Damn. It looks really good. I wish I had anything near that level of artistic skill. A very nice army overall as well. :)

The banner and bsb is splendid.Have a gold star  How do you work up your orc skin? I use orchide shade but it seems to make normal orc flesh a bit dark.
