Sighing, Alessandro walked off in the direction of the bedrooms.
"I shall check the bedroom of Duality, if it please you! If I find anything, I shall return immediately."

Borgo was absolutely horrified at what had just happened. Nothing quite like it had ever met his gaze and he didn't want it to happen again. Like any good dwarf he remedied this horror by satiating his appetite. He left the crowd and perused the tables.

"Any hearty breakfast requires sausages", he mumbled. As he was casting his gaze over Table 2, a nasty feeling filled the pit of his stomach, and that was that his breakfast looked like the unfortunate soul's innards.

"I cannot eat such fine pickings when they remind me of poor Gunter!"

With that Borgo poured himself an ale and went to sit in a low-backed (but relatively high-backed comparatively) chair and prepared his pipe.

BORGO IS SEARCHING TABLE 2 AROUND THE SAUSAGES

Carlos woke up from his armchair just when all the people was entering into the main hall. He didn't remember falling asleep at all, and he had an uneasy feeling. He took note of all this in his notebook.

While the Ivana woman was explaining the situation to the people, he listened with half an ear and started to look around the chamber. Clean. It was clean as if nothing had happened. His gaze searched for some signs of the events happened the night before but he couldn't find any.

He touched lightly the grip of his pistol, remembering that his bullets didn't have any powder. He surely had to think about how to make more, if he was to survive...

When Ivana finished and left the room, he could see a woman (what was her name? he couldn't remember it...) rushing to the privy and another man going up to the bedroom. Carlos wanted to contribute to this search, and he thought that he must search somewhere.

A hungry mind doesn't think well so he took an apple from a nearby table and casually started to eat it while he headed for the bookshelves in the hall... perhaps there he could also find additional info...

"I'll be searching the bookshelves in the hall. I'll start for the left one." he told the yet shocked people.

*Walking into the room trying to stretch a knot out of his back*

I swear I have been more at ease sleeping on jagged rocks on the march than in that damn bed, god knows how I managed to get so much sleep in the firs.......
*Stopping mid sentence, eyes widening looking at the shuffling horror in the room with them*

*Absorbing what their hideous host had said he set off in search of what was left of Brand Horsentack*

Lets make sure this room is safe at least before we wake the others... Last thing we want is for someone to end up finding a piece of someone by mistake...

*heading over to one of the tables tentatively starts to look through the napkins and food stuffs moving the beans around with a fork peering into the bowl, removing fruit from bowls before replacing it in an attempt to make sure nothing is overlooked*

The Masque glanced at the body of Brandt only for a moment, then stormed off toward the living quarters. Her step filled with purpose, she practically broke into a trot before she reached the door with with her moniker, 'The Masque of Death,' engraved on its nameplate.

She threw open the door, then begun scouring all of the drawers for any sign of a body part. If something managed to enter her room in the dead of night without her knowledge...there would be dire ramifications indeed.

Eriks first instinct was to throw up, the second was to laugh and as he emptied his stomach onto the floor he wished he had chosen second. Then turning to the soup he plunged his hand in deep.

Frederick's face turned white on hearing the dread hostesses wretched announcement, then he threw up the mostly-digested contents of his stomach. Without a word, he turned around and returned to his room.

Kristof gazes upon the form that was once Brand and mutters a few words of prayer. Then he turns to those present
'The investigation into this mans death should be of the utmost importance. I shall examine his room, where the deed is most likely to have been done'
with that he turns and strides towards Brand's bedchamber.

Following the Masque's course of action, Isaac made a break for his room in order to make sure it was clean from Ivana's growing corruption. He wouldn't be able to sleep at all if he knew that B!tch was around him.

Duality starts to shake visibly, after the macabre display. He quietly sits down for a while, before standing up and forces himself to drink a glass of water. In fact, Duality hasn't spoken at all during the morning, somehow he seems to be holding back, as if guarding himself. The jovial jester from yesterday is gone, athough he has put up the makeup and done the red hair on the right side of his head.

Without saying a word, Duality proceeds with his own search.

Staring at the hollowed out abdominal cavity of the unfortunate Brand, Dr. von Ungeheuer nods his head and mops at the sweat on his brow. "This fiend's ability continues to astound me. Such a capable killer and still she toys with us." The doctor makes his way to table 2 and reaches around Borgo, piling sausages on a plate. "Excuse me, brewmeister. One must fuel themself to keep up their strength, am I right?" Taking his plate and munching on the sausages, Dr. von Ungeheuer heads back toward the bedrooms. "While it would make sense to check my own room to see if that demon has planted anything there, I think I'll check in on someone else's room. This way no one can point a finger at me claiming that I could possibly be hiding evidence. I'll check Erik's room and let everyone know if I find anything."

While Carlos was searching the left bookshelf on the hall, his eye caught the sudden movement of a shadow in the wall.

He suddenly pulled out one of his guns, pointing at the approaching figure, and saw the... man? Woman? ... two-faced person, who freezed in the spot. Duality looked at Carlos without expression in the face, and before Duality could say anything, Carlos, with a serious face, put the pistol into his holster and continued searching.

"If you want to help, and you should, search the other bookshelf, the one on the right" Carlos said without gazing at the strange-looking person.

Threeflower enters the room a bit later than all the others and seems to have missed all the commotion.

“What are you all doing up this early, it is almost impossible to sleep with all this commotion”

Threeflower notices all the food laid out on the tables

“That is what I call a proper breakfast!”

Duality nods silently and moves to the right side of the bookshelf to search.

Ysolda mutters under her breath "that crazy bitch, this is insane! But...if this demented puzzle will save a life...ugh, fine."

She runs to he table with the food upon it, inhales deeply to gather strength and picks up a fork to carefully pick her way through a platter with meat.

Previously...

Nicholas had witnessed the brutal murder of Gurter and the other man, whom he had not spoken to yet. His eyes were fixed with a piercing gaze on Lady Ivana. Feeling very uncomfortable, he did not look upon the bodies of the innocent victims but decided to go to his bedroom. Walking through the hall, he felt an uneasy presence, distinguishable by the frown on his face.

Just before he reached his bedroom he muttered to himself:
"Hmpf, I won't bar my door. I have seen what these vampiric monsters are capable of and they will not be hindered, let alone stopped, by a shelf against your bedroom door. I'll just guard my room the whole night."

Now...

Nicholas wakes up and goes back to the rest of the group to hear their hostess' announcement. He doesn't remember falling asleep. He thought he had stayed awake the whole night, his sword by his side, but apparently he didn't.
"No human or animal deserves to die this way, as part of a wicked game, especially one to entertain these monsters. Maybe they're just picking us all off one by one anyway... Still, I will join in this game, for going against the vampires' will won't help me survive this night; or even this day for that matter."

He looks around and sees several others going to the dining tables and into bedrooms.
"I will search my own bedroom thoroughly, because if these monsters snuck into my chambers to play their sick game, it will be confirmed that I will never be able to defeat my father's murderer."

(At Dr. Ungeheuer)
"And sir, searching someone else's bedroom does not make you any less suspicious than the rest of us. You can hide evidence in any room, and by searching other people's rooms, maybe you are just setting them up; framing them. This is not to accuse you though, it applies to everyone in here."

(To Nicholas Le Vert)Speaking around a mouthful of sausage, "Sir, my comment was simply to explain my actions. Only one other guest had opted to check another's room and I wanted to voice my opinion on why I choose to act out of the norm. Secondly, I did want to inform Herr Stoutberg that someone would be in his chamber. The last thing I desire is to be run through if he were to suddenly check his room." The doctor fishes his flask from his pocket and takes a sip before continuing his search.

Erik stared at the distasteful object in his hand before laughing lightly "Well I guess I got the poor man by the balls!" Still chuckling at his own joke he pocketed the object and went about finding food.

Pulling out his pipe and a lizardbag of the black herb he light up and took a long drag. Before turning to the man who had searched his room "Hope you found everything you wanted in there! My name is Erik by the way"

I'm surprised any of us did not notice this, then again we were frightened out of our wits but....
*Points to Brand still shuffeling about*

Should we not fetch the priest to give the man last rights?.....
Its cruel to leave him like this but even worse to see him shuffling bout the room.
*vomits into his own mouth whilst watching the macabre parody of the man they knew*

I have seen some horrible things in war but this.... this is just not right.

The Masque sat down on her bed, exhaling a hard sigh of relief. It seemed as though no one had managed to slip into her room at night....or at the very least, they had left no sign of their presence. Still, time was of the essence, and she needed to avoid returning to the dining room empty-handed. She exited her room and noticed that her compatriots were also busy scouring the rooms for any unsavory pieces of evidence.

Quietly padding down the hallway, she searched for the nearest unoccupied room. It didn't take long, and she soon found herself standing in front of an empty, yet locked, bedroom. Slipping a small knife from the folds in her garments, she slid the blade up along the door jam until she heard a faint click. Satisfied that the latch was undone, she opened the door, and began to search, this time being considerably more delicate and discreet in her efforts.
