A Deep Striking (and no scatter) army of Stormclad Eternals?

One that can shoot and charge in the same turn as well.

I'm confused. Isn't "glutted on the souls they have consumed" when a chaos god is at their most powerful, and least vulnerable?

Also, yeah, while the names don't bother me as much as they do some other folks, they are kind of laughably dumb, especially for the undead. "Deathrattlers", lol. *wipes tear*

I know, they've gone total World of Warcraft with this. I had a feeling they'd squat Slaanesh since she's too non-PC for the 'kid-friendly' GW. Also the people were saved by a magic space dragon, and Sigmarite comes from the metallic core of the Old World. It's completely surreal and totally unlike the old fluff which was at least partially grounded in reality.

Orcs, goblins and ogres seems to have become orruks, grots and ogors. Obviously as a way of making the names into defendable IP. Did we know this in advance?

I'm both glad and amazed that vampires are still going by that name. I'm pretty sure they could have come up with something unique and suitably death-sounding otherwise.

They're called "Soulblight Vampires" now actually, at least according to that excerpt.

Why do the rules have to suck so much though?

I'm still holding out hope that "soulblight" is just one of GW's adjectives. Skeletons seem to be deathrattlers now, though, and zombies are deadwalkers.

Looks like more names are being changed. The order box mentions duardin, aelf and seraphon. That last one looks to be the lizardmen of the future.

Above any "fantasy lore" I am the most invested in norse mythology. When a franchise borrows or parodies it I either tend to absolutely hate it (marvel thor), or love it. I will admit... These nine realms sound awesome to me. I'd rather have the good 'ol warhammer setting, but this is hitting a guilty pleasure of mine pretty hard.

These NAMES on the other hand are a different story. Also since Dwarfs were my first army (and he reason I got into warhammer) I am quite gutted to hear about Grimnir.. (EDIT: Grugni is still alive!!! And he makes the custod-I mean sigmarines armor.)

It still feels like this product is dancing on the grave of a good friend though. The rules just seem more broken the more I read them.

I was pretty happy really until we started seeing these new rules! Anyone else interested in how they are going to rehash the vampires origins?

Oh yes, it really does scream Norse mythology to me, with the immortal Sigmarites basically coming from Asgard on a Rainbow Bridge to save the realms from Chaos. Really strongly reminiscent of it.

Still though it's not good enough to repair the damage done, and since the "rules" are so abysmal...
