Not sure if this is where it needs to go but did everyone see the new black library release teaser for prisoner of the black sun? Seems we get a glimpse of at least one of the VC heroes still creeping around. I'm betting manfred but..... At least it's a bone thrown out.

It's really great, but they say it's someone we already know so I also don't think it's Abhorash or somebody like him. Sadly, because it'd be quite refreshing.

I agree. There are several old favorites that would be cool, but the wording is that it's a Von carlstein, so no to many of those. Leaves us with vlad, manfred and Konrad. I'm skipping the likes of Jerek and such. Konrads just not that big of a charactor and so that leaves us vlad and manfred. Not knowing really any of vlad said background before he shows up at drakenholf lends to him having a repertory with nagash, while manfred is out to wrest power from him instead.
Kinda hoping its vlad just for the reasons that it was him who drew me to the VC when the codex changed. While having that whole " let's raise a army and take over the neighbors" problem, he really tried to work with the living.

What could be better in the morning after waking up than the news Nagash is present in the "Prisoner of the Black Sun"? We can listen to him in the extract!

That was true before, but after Vlad literally sacrificed himself to save her, it would not be unthinkable to have her choose to live on in honor of that sacrifice rather than spit on it by throwing her life away.

Maybe, but she died with him once and I doubt she wouldn't do this again, would she?

In the novel her and Neferata are just hanging out at castle drakenhoff, while Arkhan goes off to try and save them from the end of the world. He explodes in a blaze of purple light while Neferata and Isabella's fate is left ambiguous.

No the seperate book BL did: lord of the end times. It had quite a few little wrap ups for VC the archaon set didn't.

Interesting... And so the fate of the most vampires is left unclear?

Mostly although I'm rather behind with all the aos fluff. Neferata and Isabella aren't said to be destroyed and even though there's the massive purple explosion it's alluded to that Arkhan may have survived and succeeded in teleporting them all to safety.
Vlad says where Abhorash stands chaos will not win and he is at la masiontal abbey with at least the red duke, elize Von carstein and erikan crowfiend. There may have been other but that's all I can remember right now, also I would expect no notice to be taken to any of what wen on in the novel; it kind of just felt like Josh Reynolds wanted to treat us a bit.

Well, let's hope they did survive, though as long as they have miniatures I'm sure they will be presented in AoS. And it'd be great to see Abhorash intact and presented as well. With the Red Duke maybe also, for the Blood Dragons are poorly presented now.

The red duke would be great although with no mention of Brettonia it seems unlikely.

I would guess that the vampire in the BL audio book is probably Manfred since his model is visible in some of the AoS books that feature Nagash.
