Ahh braging rights is ok. Thanks sanai for the kind comments I feel she turned out very well, Took a break from the fagallents they just were too mean to the vampires, staking my poor vamps right and left. Wanted a easy day so did a wraith then 3 bat swarms and now am assembling my vulghulf so I can take his pic. Then I got to base my wraith and bat's. I am also experimenting with a black coach conversion since I didnt like how the last one turned out.

Well thanks boo and yes we do. We are trying to finish up some commisions so we can focus on just these now. We paint about 10 mini's a day give or take. less if more difficult (isabella was a two day project) It helps when you got one doing all the drybrushing washing ect. and then another doing all detailing.

On the flagellent note, my fanitics are witch hunters sigmare preists sisters of sigmar, and then with real flagellents mixed in I have johan and wilhelm in there too. So yes being staking vampires. But no need to put them aside and figure out how I wanna do them. I was wanting to do a more van helsing style.

You mean not everyone does that. Pretty much we paint for a living. She does alot of commisions plus we have the ebay store. 8 hours of work at a place that allows u to paint all day helps too. then we paint in the evening together too. I can remember the 50 necron weekend, lol. 50 necron warriors one weekend was so sick of them afterwards.

Prevampirism Sylvania update 1-8-11 Witch hunter

Well pretty much taking the lords of the Sylvania court such as Count Otto van drak Konrad possible Manfred, and others as my hero’s Count Otto is my general Konrad is a captain (plastic conversion) unsure on Manfred. the rest is basis troops With most of my troops all I am doing is the ancient Sylvania court colors and iconography. The only exception is going to be my great swords(grave guard) which are going to carry my drakenhof banner prior its corruption. My mounted drakenhof knights are going to have the drakenhof key banner and the iconography on there horses. The rest of the army save the flagellants are the regular troops of the empire with using older hand gunners to represent the older guns the Sylvania host would of had. My flagellants are going to be some of the old sigermite sisters and witch hunters from mordheim with real flagellants mixed in. This to give it a angry fanatical mob feel. My knights order of the wolf are a take off of the white wolves of the empire with the exception being is they are not wielding hammers but axes. But that’s is my plan.

This was my test figure I love how the colors came out. And I have wanted to start this Plog for a while now. The ancient not so dead have returned. I painted him in the ancient dress Uniform thanks too Ophidicus who helped me with the color's.

Its great, almost too great. Perhaps a bit clean. The face is so well done and lines so crisp it is a testament to your steady hand. damn my caffeine shakes. Very nice

Nice! And old school handgunner too! I love it. This army idea is really cool and I will follow this plog with great interest.

The colours do look really good, the only nitpick is the face and hands, they could perhaps use a very light wash to bring out the details.

Well with him I was going for a very youthful look, I used tallaren flesh with a drybrush of elf flesh. I am doing a mix of skin tones to help bring them to life more. Which some of them on my table are in the middle of being washed. I love variety just wait till I get them all done as a unit.

Yes older models I feel the older hang gunners would give the army a antuiquity feel that it needs with the older guns. It helps explain them better I feel besides I have so many of them had to do something with them. (can honetly field a 100 gunline troop)
I found a duelest with pistols that is female it is great that will be Isabella it has boobs.

The test figurelooks very good, the eyes are very well done.
The only suggestion I can possibly think of is maybe shade the skin a bit more-it looks a little flat at the moment, although I wouldn't say for a second the model looks badly painted! As it does look very good.

The picture does not do him justice, anyways I went for a younger youthful face that is hwy it looks cleaner. I have a varity of tones Im doing to give the unit a feel of each person being unique. But yes I usually wash my living figures with the washes. Ill have to see when they are all finished if I want to go back and change this one though. Thanks for your kind comments guy's. Now I just need to decide if Im using the bretonnian archers from long ago or making milta into archers. Decisions decisions.

I should learn that you two does not do anything without a well thought out plan.

The older Handgunners are way more awesome than the new skinny ones...

Pretty cool, not to sure how widespread the use of gunpowder weaponry would've been in von Drak Sylvania. Considering how poor the province was/is I believe that such weaponry would be extremely rare, perhaps only a few cannons.

Well I just wanted everyone to know I havent stoped painting Just been gathering and assembling a few more regiments for my empire army of sylvania. Things are coming along nicely, with the black wolves conversions and fellow freinds. Ill get back to painting after this weekend.

Sweet update. The horses look good, now just get some basing and riders done hehe

The freehand is pretty good too, what really makes it pop is the great highlighting and shading on the horses barding.

The engineers will be interesting too see when painted. Hurry up and get them done.

Another treasure out of my bit box. At least some of the parts are a treasure. This gives the look of a older hellblaster which would fit well within my army theme. (speculating of the gunpowder anyways) Ok im kidding myself here it just plain looks cool.
