Show us your Black Knights

[snyggejygge]

here´s some of my old Black Knights:

[Reaper]

@snyggejygge Nice! I always liked these models

[Fallen Angel]

Got my BK's some new shields.. BK's love new shields...

Bought the von Carstein upgrade pack and gave the shields to my black knights.

[Scott_K]

Fallen Angel, that unit looks perfect

The Von Carstein upgrade pack shields really add to the knightly look. Well done!

[Fallen Angel]

Many thanks @Scott_K

[michael]

@snyggejygge Nice! I always liked these models

Lol Fallen Angel, your take on "I got my x, y. xs love y " cracked me up. the models look sweet too.

[Duke Danse Macabre]

Looking Good there Fallen Angel.
I have been considering adding a second unit of black knights with those shields myself.

[Schatt]

Hi,

Here are my 5 Black Knights:

Regards, Dmitry

[Banat]

I liked the old metal black knight riders themselves. All they were missing was some barding/robes on the horses. The naked skelly horses looked lame and are one of the reasons why I'm not a massive fan of the TK horses.

[Alastor]

@Fallen Angel great stuff mate, perfect combo of clean bone and decaying armour.

[Fallen Angel]

Thanks @Alastor !

[Petterwass]

More Black Knights. I now have 20.
Standard issue except for head swaps because I didn't like the idea of ancient warrior nobles having identical helmets.

[Schatt]

Nice work. I believe they look great in a stack of 20.

[Count Vashra]

Nice work there.

[Petterwass]

Nice work. I believe they look great in a stack of 20.

Choo choo! Wight train incoming!*

New knights in the back

The vamps snuck in here

* I should really get some mounted Wights too but sadly the "Mounted Skeleton Commander" figure niche is not very well provided for.
My champion would make a decent one and I know Reaper has a good one and..... that's about it.

[Count Vashra]

More good work.

[Jepserios]

[Farmer7574]

Here's my old black knights/mounted wights, painted when I was a teenager (I'm afraid I don't have a shot of the whole group):

[Schatt]

I like free hand detals on banner

[Count Vashra]

Very good, Jepserios and Farmer.

[Farmer7574]

@Petterwass They look awesome all ranked up together.

@Schatt @Count Vashra Cheers, the banner took ages if I remember rightly

[Theerteen]

Ah, it's so nice to see those old ass knights always poppin back to the tables Cool one!

[Schatt]

@Theerteen
I like oldhammer too, but I gave bardings to Skeletal Horses. They look better but the new Black Knight model are awersome.

[Theerteen]

eah that's right, the naked horses didn't suit the coolness of the riders

[Sception]

The classic black knight models are pretty great. I had actually just started my original undead army not too long before they were released, along with the original banshee model (, the one with the skull head, sword, and pointing finger, which was a wraith hero at the time, as banshees didn't exist yet in the rules). Classic stuff. Great models for the time, too, and it's nice to see they hold up pretty well, apart maybe from the plastic skeletal steed.

I wish I still had my old unit of them. I mean, don't get me wrong, the current black knights are fantastic, but seeing the old models really takes me back. Autobreak, herohammer, cards in the magic phase.... those were the days.
