@Micheal Valdros That blood trail is cool. The shades of green work well with the exposed wounds, especially the sword.

You really hit the spot on these guy 
Especially like the bronze, but the skin is top notch too. Also love the musician conversion. The way he is holding it makes it looks like he just carefully ringing it, hoping to not cause too much sounds. Lovely, and somehow very fitting for the strange beings the nurgle daemons are

Thanks! I went into these guys without any idea of what I was gonna do, and the skin especially was something I just put kinda worked out as I went along so its good to know they turned out well.
I actually did this guy way back in like July, and didnt seal him until a few weeks after I finished so a bit of the paint has chipped off around the eyes and hat. I'm not really sure how to fix it, and its really that big, so I just left it as is.

One last Christmas guy. This one was supposed to be done way earlier, but I underestimated the time green stuff takes to cure so I ended up just finishing him tonight. He's pretty much completely GS, the hands are the only plastic bits on him.
I got some calligraphy paper, so I made a simple little test banner and I need some opinions. The back side isn't painted

Its the goblin kings throne front the Hobbit starter set.
And I did draw the lines out and everything before painting, though I did fill it in really messily. Gonna try thinning the paints a lot more and maybe trying to find a less frayed brush.

Definitely go fine detail, lots of water! As for the throne, I guess that's what I get for completely ignoring the Lord Of The Rings franchise... I also found out about Druzhag's bat swarm through the forum, nice find but not available for cheap anywhere.
I fiddled around with banners some more until I ended up with a design I like. I'm going to be starting work on a coven throne soon, and I might want a banner on there so I'm gonna keep working on this design until I reach something I'm really happy with.
Definitely going to want to work on making the letters cleaner and easier to read, especially on the top. Also gonna have to work on those wrinkles

I didn't realize that I hadn't posted a single thing in January. I've been getting parts and ideas for a centerpiece to the army with Micheal Valdros on a coven throne, so its been small things for awhile. The current idea is to have him sitting on the top of the chariot body with the Mortis Engine book mounted in front of him but past that I cant do anything until the model arrives. I'll be doing WIP pictures on that once I actually have something physical to show, for the moment its just a regular spirit host and nothing else
Anyway, here's a bunch of random stuff from January that I completely forgot to post

A repainted Tie Fighter. I added a red stripe, new colors on the wings, and a kinda engine glow
And a half done skaven staff I made out of boredom

I messed around with my airbrush on some old Black Knight, need opinions on how it turned out. Base isnt done, just need to know if I should go ahead and paint my spirit host the same way
So you're airbrushing them? Cool! The color on the dude is definitely fine, but maybe you could add some lighter paint sprayed from above? That could make him less flat and simulate the light.
I can agree with Borgnine. The colour is nice and all, but it could use some additional definition. A light drybrush or possibly some more airbrush work could do the trick (though I have no experience with airbrush so not sure on that point).
I'm definetly going to have to try to make the colors more defined. I think a bit of the problem comes from not cleaning out the cup between sprays, so I'm going to give doing that a shot

Before I get to the throne itself, heres Valdros on foot. Originally I hadnt planned on making one, but I needed an extra $10 for free shipping and happened to find this guy who looks really similar to the seated model I picked. Only thing I did here was a head swap, had to saw off the original head and replace it
And here's what I've got for the Engine itself. I toyed around with using the Spirits or the Bloodbowl that come with the kit, but decided they all just take attention way from Valdros himself.
It splits into 4 (Technically 5) subsections for easier painting
The front piece. Its made out of the bookstand from the Mortis engine and the curtain rod from the Coven Throne
The throne (The back of it comes off too, but thats not really a seperate section). Kinda forgot to put his head on before taking pictures
The main chariot body. All I have to do here is fill in that gap back there with GS.
And the bone cage, nothing has been done to this so far. Might add the curtains if I find a way

Cool mini, and almost for free - nice! Good feature for him to switch heads

Thanks! It'll be ridding on just the regular Coven Throne spirit host, I figured that looks fine as-is and doesnt really need any changing

Out of sheer luck, cutting up the Curtain rod to make that ended up creating the perfect stand for the book, so this happened
And some shots of the entire thing assembled. Had to hold it together with my hand, since it all just falls apart on its own. No flag pole here since I'd need another hand to hold that too

Nice conversion work on that Coven Throne. It certainly lives up to the name "throne" now
The extra burning skeleton in the back is cool. Isn't the book a little bit too low though? Only slightly higher up than his feet judging by the picture, might be hard to read from that distance.
Colour scheme on Valdros looks solid. Will probably look good on the CT.
