Sorry to hear that my friend. I lost my father too early as well, my heart goes out to you and yours. ❤

Eh, i know the feeling too well.
My father passed away at the age of 62.
So young, and he wasn't able to see my marriage, neither his nieces.
At least the father of my wife saw all these things.
My wife is suffering but i know that, later, this knowledge will sweeten the memory.

this is my beautiful little female cat. She is a house cat, very shy, and her only journeys were on our roof (italian historical center town, with the roofs of many houses connected or near enough to let cats jump from one to another).

One night (ten days ago) she was chased by another cat, and she ran away only Bastet knows where.
We are still waiting for her... we looked for her basically everywhere, but alas she has disappeared into thin air.

My father passed away too soon, almost 20 years ago.
I don’t mind anniversaries, but sometime memories come back and there's a little part of my soul that never heals, marked by a feeling of emptiness, mixed with sadness and bitterness.
He missed my marriage, missed his nieces, he wasn't able to see his son become a man.
That's the biggest regret of my life.

Sorry to hear about everyones losses. Makes my troubles seem trivial, but still, here is what is going on in my life.

We're putting our house up for sale. I love living here, it is just too inconvenient logistically, with work and school. So we've used weeks and weeks on cleaning and throwing out stuff, to get a presentable house for pictures and showings. It paid off, but I'm pretty beat now and haven't hobbied much at all. Partly because I started new job in January, so far on a contract until end of year, but they've mentioned training me for a role as daily leader, so I'm giving it a lot of attention. I really like my job, for the first time in forever! 😊 Anyway, here's hoping things at least quiet down enough for some glue and paint, really miss it!

To leave the house you loved and were used to live in, it's not an easy thing; far from it. 😉

Yeah as Unas says it really drains you when you have to dig up your roots and plant them a new place. But it sounds really nice with the new job! I too have a job I love, and I thought I would never be so fortunate as to have a job where I actually look forward to going to work. :D

New job, going well. Personal life is a dumpster fire though. Probably won't be able to work on OBR stuff until the New Year. Hope everyone else is doing well though.

Ouch, i just hope things will get better. 😞

So, now that I've moved into a new place, shared house situation, I can say that my wife wants a divorce and now we're in the slow process of untangling our lives. It hit me hard and I'm still struggling against my feelings of hopelessness and fear. The new job is keeping me somewhat on track, and hopefully I'll come out the other end of the holidays feeling more like my old self and with a few more miniatures out of my assembly queue.
