I have to agree on using a more hybrid lord I've found it's very effective, for sooo long I ran a caster lord and he did his job very well but paying the base point cost for a lord that with his base stats is a beast just seems a waste recently I've being trying out the following
Red fury,dark...
I've just read through all this and it's quite a discussion, everyone of you has valid points and a lot of it does come down to who you play and the environment your in,I go to my local GW and there are some people I've played who are frankly rubbish but then there are others that are quite a...
Gutted lol,oh well, looks like it's engaging them faster then :) that 13th spell is nasty lol,not played skaven this edition tho so will have to see how it goes when I do :)
I can't really see death working against a screaming bell though with it's 2+ ward against spells that also confers to the seer on the bell, that can also scurry up the bell if challenged, what would ppl suggest? Smashing it to pieces with Gw graveguard? I havnt played skaven in 8th yet so not...
Lol cheers lord fear thought that it was different because of the screaming bell being unique, well that's good news looks like it's just a case of sniping the seer of his stinking bell :) thanks mate
Just a quick question for you wise ones, how does targeting work for a grey seer or a plague priest on the respective bells/furnace,can you target the grey seer with say the fate of bunja or do you have to randomise it,cheers
That's a good idea :) I've tried similar things like swapping it out for blood keep, although a clever opponent will figure this out rather quickly all it takes is one round of firing at the unit, unless you don't mention your getting the 4+ save from the blood keep,if you just roll the dice and...
At first I ran my ghouls In a unit of 40 in a horde but now I prefer to run them 6 wide and four deep, lots off ppl like to run horde units but I'm really not that fond of them,it's good to have them wide if your facing a lot of artillery, then you can reform them before combat starts, maybe with...
Hey I would definatly suggest putting your lord in a core unit of ghouls if you plan on giving him the blood drinker, recently I have had sucsses using a "hybrid" lord,he has red fury, dark acoylte, summon ghouls, flayed hauberk, crown of the damned, blood drinker, extra magic level
Now this guy...
Thats the way to do it :) glad your enjoying playing you army a different way, that's one of my favourite things about our army,it's a lot more flexible than a lot of people think and you shouldn't discount things until you try it yourself :)
I would definatly say no you don't need to run a deathstar with vamps to be successful,I've never ran one and I still win nearly al my games,a deathstar is just to easy to destroy or hold up,let's say you have your graveguard, with drakenhoff, vamp lord, the full trimmings, now someone engages them...
Hey,sounds like a good game and a win for the undead lords :) skaven can be a pain but you handled them well although I'd say your opponent made some mistakes,Ie telpeorting his chief lol, congrats dude :)
Although I'd like to point oh that in a 1200ish pts game your lord was waaaay over his...
I wouldn't say high elves are cheesy but you can't deny that the new rules have given them a boost and strange coincidence that the two armies that benefit the most from the new rules ( high elves and skaven) are also in the isle of blood box set, damn Gw lol
Also we might be unbreakable but we...
