Good Evening,
I am new to vampire counts, and to warhammer. Any tips or tricks for painting or gaming would be very helpfull.
I like frost and am adding a frosty look to my set. If anyone knows where i could get some ice looking terrain would be most appreciated.

Thank you all,
The Lich King

Evening all

I am an old vampire counts player returning to vamps after a disastrous playing beastmen!

I'm really hoping that vamps will bring my 8th edition playing back up to the standard I played in 6th (when I played Vamps!)

Hi everyone. I've been playing WFB for almost two years now (came over from the dark side of 40k) and played High Elves as my first army. I've decided the time is right to start my second army and that is going to be Vampires. When I first started out with WFB I was between Vamps and HE but my buddy had some HE minis he was willing to give me so that's how it went.

In my sig. is a link to my High Elf army blog over on Ulthuan - the High Elf forum.

hi , every one

i stareted collecting VC sinds last week
atm i have 85 zombies - 100 skeletons - vamp lord on dragon - coventhrone -mortis engine-10 crypt ghouls - 20 grave guard - 2 necro's - a conversion for strigoi ghoul king - 2 vamp -1 corpse cart and 3 crypt horrors - 10 dire wolves and 10 hexwraiths/black knights .

i am also competing for the armies on parade next year whit the VC army :)
all tips and tricks are welcome .

Bo.

I have been playing GW off and on for about 20 years. I dread to think the amount of £££ I have given GW but that will pale into insignifcance compared too the alcohol pile.

Newish to Fantasy have dabbled before ( HE,WE and Ratmen ) but not played for about 5 years.

Picked the Vc as I have not so fond memories of the Vampires tearing up my ratmen.

I am also a H P Lovecraft fan and like the ghouls very much.

I have about 3000 pts of Tau for 40k and I am waiting for the new codex with anticipation.

Hello all!
I've been a lurker on this site for some time now never having posted anything myself until I noticed this thread. Anyways I've been collecting since last July and have been playing some games since September. My models include 2 vampires, 2 necromancers, 2 cairn wraiths, banshee, krell, 70 skeletons, 40 ghouls, 70 zombies, 30 grave guard, 10 hexwraith, 10 black knights, a terro and a mortis!
Just wanted to say thanks to all the people who continuously visit the forums and always respond(not myself) as I have learned alot just through my readings!

Regards,

Wolf

Hey all,
Just joined the forums. I am new to both WHFB and VC. I bought the Big Red Book, VC army book, and 10 skellies to practice painting. I'll probably be around, asking lots of (crazy) questions, like, can ethereal units charge through other units since they ignore dangerous terrain? That's actually a real question. I read the part on the ethereal special rule, and it doesn't say you can't, it just says you have to end a turn 1 inch from the nearest friendly unit. Currently, I am trying to decide between fielding an army with all skellies or all zombies. Anyways, I'll take the rest of my questions to appropriate threads.
See ya around

Hi guys a brand new green blood when it comes to Vampire counts, more of a 40k kind of guy. But I have been beguiled by the beautiful models of the vampire counts and managed to purchase a sealed mega force off an auction site for £135. Im not really a gamer more of a painter and cant wait to use a more colourful pallet instead of green (dark angels green wing force xD).

So any pointers for gaming and list building will be muchly appreciated.

Welcome to warhammer! It's a far better game, tactically (my opinion of course). If you want pointers on a list, head on over to the "Legions of the Damned" section, and post up your thoughts on a list with the models you have in a reasonable sized list. Many people on this forum will help you out and recommend what you can do. A lot of competitive players are on this forum, and also lots of players who are into painting or fluff sides of armies.

Anyways, Welcome to CN.

Hi all!

Today i decided to collect and play Vampire Counts, so cheers to us!!
Have a feeling that im gonna enjoy it..

Welcome to the forums! There are tons of threads and people who will gladly help you out getting started with your army/painting.

Hello everyone!

My financee and I started collecting Warhammer minis back in September when were on a trip to Scotland and came across a Warhammer store. We don't have an actual Warhammer store anywhere less than an hour and a half drive from us back in Ontario Canada but we do have some hobby stores that also sell warhammer nearby.

Anyway, we've both spent far too much money on Warhammer stuff now. My first army and definetly my favourites is the Vampire Counts. I have spent at least a couple thousand dollars on minis and have painted almost all of them (except for some core).

We don't have anyone else to play with besides my fiancee and me and it does get frusterating because if we're winning we feel bad and if we're losing we get all pissy. Regardless I think I'll look around as I have some questions on how to crush his armies ;-)

Be sure to take pictures of your army's and nicer models you want to show off!

Greetings!

After 10+ years of 40k i am finally giving WHFB a go, i am really excited as nearly the whole Vampire Counts model range appeals to me.

I just wanted to say that i have been lurking for a few weeks; reading painting and modelling guides, tactics articles, list building suggestions and BatReps and the community on this forum is pretty great. Keep up the good work guys and gals!
