I don't think I've ever posted here but...

Currently looking at becoming a teacher this fall. Sadly the lateral entry for non-teaching degree folks like myself is a bit tricky, but I'm hoping it works out. I work at a liquor store and it's taxing on my sanity, I desperately need a change.

Working for a shopping centre during a pandemic (not fun as you can imagine, customers are idiots).

Has my second son arrive in January.

Been teetering on brink of depression for past few months, only really my partner, kids and the hobby stopping it. Been that bad at work, those without anxiety and depression now have anxiety issues and borderline depression.

This pandemic has brought out the very worse in peaple, who then feel they can take out their wrath on public sector staff.

Manic depressive rant over.

Glad I found this forum

Best of luck @Kassill 👍 I know such a change is a challenge but at least your trying to make change in your life which is a hard thing to do in itself!

Congrats on your baby @Gazmoz. I understand how difficult depression can be having had it myself. One day at a time, and you're more than welcome to rant here, we're an undead family after all 😁

Least it's not same as last time I had a depression issue. Had the rage fueled "I hate everything and everyone" stage last time. Wasn't pretty

Just finishing a 2 week seaside vacation, really needed it. Also did some nice sightseeing and activities like visiting the observatory in the 2nd picture.

I also took a few boxes of SBG with me, but only managed to assemble a grand total of 2 zombies. 😅 You know how it is...the sea, the sun...it's easier to just chill and drink cocktails. 🌊 ☀️🍹Managed to order 2 boxes of Blood Knights now that they are restocked, and a box of Start Collecting SBG so there will be a lot of SBG to prepare for AoS 3.0!

Wife and I recently got a recreation center pass, and we've started swimming regularly again. I enjoy it quite a bit, and it's pushing me back toward theming my army toward pirates, throw conquistador helmets on the heavy armor figures, find boat/ship bases for the centerpiece models.

Gazmoz I hope you'll feel better soon mate. Been there myself (because of untreated ADHD). As Tyson Fury said: it's easy to become heavyweight champion of the world, but it's hard to beat depression. ❤️

Personally I have been very busy this summer. I got a new job as QA Specialist at a research company developing a new type of nuclear reactor (Seaborg Technologies). On top of that I've made a couple of music videos and organized a week long Witcher-themed LARP for 100 people.

I learned a couple of days ago that my estranged father died on the 10th. He never held himself accountable for his abuse, played the victim card all the time, but there was a part of him that loved me, and a part of me that loved him back. He had a serious lung condition, but was an anti-vaxxer and caught Covid after letting his guard down. He's responsible, but it's still a damn shame.

When I was in Florida last year, I purchased a sailing dinghy that, up till now, a friend kept for me behind his garage. I am pleased to announce that I have finally found marina storage for my little boat and will soon be working toward my captain's license. Someday I'd like to get my Near Coastal endorsement, but for now I'll just have to settle for Inland sea time.

That's awesome Grave! When my dad was still alive he found a small boat that was completely trashed. We salvaged it and brought it back to prime condition. After he passed away I didnt get to sail it that much so my mother recently sold it to some friends of the family. It's nice to know that it is still used. 🤩

Well, I've been away from the hobby for few months (that post I made on July 29th was the last time I actually even came onto the forum for more than a few minutes). Work stress and depression because of said stress, kind of but the kibosh on me doing much of anything, hobby-wise. Thankfully, I've gotten a new position in the same company that's far less stressful (I can get more than 8 seconds between calls now! 😂) so, ironically despite having gone from part-time to full-time, I can start actually working on things I love again because I have less stressful work which makes the time I have after work more enjoyable to work on minis.

Now, where did I leave those skeletons and zombies....

Stress management is supremely important, even for the undead.
