The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
Nice list! I have been thinking about something around the same lines myself!
How have you thought on playing the Hellsteed/ TG combo given that the TGs probably cannot march most of the time (more than12" away from general on foot most of the time)?

Hi everyone!
Here is my new 2,400 points list for tournament play.
The Basics:
-Crypt Horrors, Skeletons, Ghouls and Grave Guard form the base line supported by the Necromancers in Zombie bunker
-Mortis Engines support casting and will kill of any enemy light support units that dare...
Hi,
here is my first attempt at a new VC list. Battle plan in short
-the Lord on Terrorgheist and the second Terrorgheist takes one flank, attempting to overrun one as seen fit
-strong center with two Necromancers, boosted by the Mortis Engine, building a position and moving towards the...
This is a new try-out build for me utilizing the new rules.
The center block will be strong and is held by two large Ghoul units and one unit of Grave Guards. I will run the Tomb Banshees inside of the one Ghoul unit, which will allow me to create a strong screaming unit which is also able...
A successful tactic might also be the Death Lore, especially the signature spell "Spirit Leach" which forces both players to roll a dice and then add them to the unmodified LD. Doesn't remember the LD of the Steg, but it is probably along the lines of 6. With the Vamp Lord being LD 10, the Steg...
Thanks for the feedback,
-the bunker could be increased in size, I agree
-for support, there might be a need for this, I guess the alternatives would be to
-drop the smaller Ghoul unit
-drop the fell bats
-drop the necro
-drop the BK's and opt for...
Hi all - back from a long break from the hobby and I am now painting my army up full speed.
The list is built around a dual-lord set-up. The lords will use the enormous advantage of the ld that Vampire Lords have, unmatched by most other enemy characters. Basic wizards have ld 7 or 8 which...
I second the the Nike Vampire and Varghulfs. But I also feel that Spirit Leach could be quite good on especially Orc and Empire warmachines. With their Ld 7, a vamp lord would would kill of the thing with an equal roll.
Yeah, but until an official errata is out, the BC won't be a viable choice here in Finland as it doesn't suck enemy dice. I think the local ruling sucks and is counter intuitive, but it follows RAW. It's a local thing i hope will be addressed by GW.
I think the character sniping is ace. Both Spirit Leach and the Caress of Laniph are 24" when boosted. Having two death caster lets you pull of four snipings a turn. Most mages don't like that - and once his main dispeller/caster is out, you have a free for all.
Plus, once you get the 'Sun...
A few ideas on the magic side.
-The Purple Sun of Xereus will slaughter Lizzies
-Spirit Leach is very effective on Stegadon's and Skink mages
Otherwise
-His Saurus will pour out decent amount of attacks and have solid toughness, you might be better of with Ghouls chewing at them with poison...
A big thing here is to have two goes at the potentially game winning character assassinations here, as well as the potential to throw the sun twice. I mean its all a matter of tweaking to see what fits best with your particular list.
I have been ranting about this in quite a few threads, but we have an edge when it comes to magic thanks to the gifts. Especially MotBA and forbidden lore come in very handedly right now. With two lords with MotBA and FL - you'll actually have 2D6 + 4 + channeling PD - easily gaining a max of...
In fact, the Caress of Laniph uses Strength (not too good with dwarves) and the Fate of Bjuna uses Toughness (admittedly Dwarf strong point) and the Sun uses Initiative (bad for the dwarves).
In fact, casting the Purple Sun of Xereus with the small template is 15+, compared to 14+ for the...
